Ocean City Weddings

Shortly after whisking friends away to be married in Bermuda 15  years ago, Pastor Mary thought that it was about time there was a place in the Ocean City area that offered romantic, simple, beautiful wedding ceremonies for couples who simply wanted a private ceremony with those they loved.

And so……  after trips to Las Vegas and Gatlinburg, Tennessee to visit all of the wedding chapels she could find - she retruned home energized to create just such a location.

The Wedding Chapel on the Shore was born shortly thereafter, with much love and caring.  A Chapel was created on the downtown plaza of Salisbury Maryland - and couples local and long distance came to be married there.

After a couple of year, we received more and more requests for Beach Weddings, and so Ocean City Weddings was created to fulfill all of the wishes of couples wnating to be married on the beach.

Having grown up in Daytona Beach, I was right in my element.  My husband joked that I loved it more because I got to have my feet in the sand all of the time. And you know - he was right!!   What a blessing to be able to meet couples on the beaches of the ocean and the Bay - to be there with them as they expressed their love for one another.

Many times it was just me with the couple, and those were some of the most enjoyable times.  I was able to take time to really get to know the couples a bit more.    And then there were the ceremonies where we had an all-out kick down party and celebration with 100 - 250 guests, full bands and parties on the sand.

There have been luaus, and catered dinners at sunset, brunches fresh from the ceremony on the beach moments earlier, to sunrise ceremonies and full catered breakfast with champagne and wedding cake!
We have had so many fun memories and celebrations of marriage.

I have been very blessed to be able to have so much fun doing what I love.
